During my career, I’ve had the pleasure of acting in many roles, from Graphic Designer, Art Director, Web Designer, and Project Manager. Most recently, my career has developed into a Communication Management role where I head up the communication for a large scientific and engineering department within the Navy. This position blends my love for design and creativity with my interest in strategic thinking.
I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, fondly known as UMBC, with a BFA in graphic design. I’ve always considered being a designer as more of who I am rather than simply what I do. Jumping into the masters of communications programs at Johns Hopkins University is definitely a leap out of my comfort zone, though I’m having so much fun meeting new people and challenging myself with graduate coursework.
